9/3/25

The day before yesterday we’d made concrete plans to dedicate one day to doing absolutely nothing. The last day would be ideal for such an endeavour.

Frankie reading in the hammock

It started with a short dip in the ocean at sunrise. Then a couple of coffees and some reading. Eating some fruit. Lying around on the deck listening to the sea.

Eating fruit on deck

We walked to an even closer restaurant that we immediately wished we’d found earlier because they made loads of great dishes with tofu. One with tamarind sauce, a panang curry and papaya salad.

The sea looking tame
The shortest walk possible
She’s just excited for food
We could see Hornbills that were being enticed by that natural type of bird food: Cooked white rice
The sea looking more ferocious

Then back for some more monging around with watermelon, mango and papaya. More reading. Then we went back out at sunset to have a couple more dishes of food. More papaya salad and a pad thai.

Then some more doing nothing.

Our bungalow at sunset

Glorious. We don’t do it often enough.
