19/3/25
We woke up earlier than we would’ve liked. Well Frankie didn’t. Jonathan did. Perhaps the food was too spicy. At 7am the sound of the rain was certainly enough to wake us up. Our bikes had been positioned under a tree. We rushed out to ‘save’ them from the torrential rain, which immediately stopped once we moved them. Frustrating. At least they had a little wash.

We lay around in the room bed rotting. Probably longer than we should have but it felt like a good idea. We had a few coffees. We spent most of the time on our phones ‘catching up’ with the world.
We headed to the pool and sat around there for a while too. Chatted to our new friend Richard again. Then the inevitable happened and we ordered another delivery of vegan food using foodpanda.

We tried to watch some different programs on Netflix but it was hard to get into anything for some reason. We were floating between multiple programs. We ate as much of the food as we could stomach and then went for another stint at the pool.

The day went too quickly. It was 5pm soon enough and the Sun was dropping fast. We had a quick shower then stomped to the shops in the cool evening. We observed that roadkill included lizards and big beetles. Outnumbered of course by the number of dropped sandals. It was a slow day.

We probably chose the wrong day for a rest day. Well it was definitely the right day, because we were tired. Unfortunately, today had been quite cool. It’s a relative term. It was cloudy. It would’ve made for an excellent days cycling.

When we got back we tried to finish our takeout order but ended up keeping a few bits for the next day. The driest foods we could. Most things were in a lot of liquid containing an absolutely crazy number of chilli peppers. Every single thing is spicy. Thai spicy.

Our evening whittled away fast. We managed to get into watching Manifest. A sci-fi drama about a plane that gets lost for 5 years. The weather wasn’t scheduled to be too the next day either. Clouds were on the menu again.
